Thanksgiving is in one week. Are you ready to chow down on turkey, stuffing, pies, and the leftovers? Are you prepared for the bloat and fatigue the next few days? I like a mean piece of pumpkin pie and pretty much everything LeeAnne makes for Thanksgiving, but that doesn’t mean I have to eat until I am ill and in a semi-coma on the couch. Here are some ideas to help you stick with your nutritional plan and to avoid the gut breaking amounts of food that is commonly consumed on this day that is intended for THANKSGIVING. 1. Come in to do the Thanksgiving WOD that Vincent is running. 2. Decide ahead of time what you are really looking forward to eating, and splurge on that only. 3. Have one smaller serving of all the good stuff and DO NOT go back for seconds. 4. Try a new recipe that is healthier or try cutting down the added sugar, etc. to your current recipes. 5. If all else fails, just enjoy it and give thanks that you have a surplus of wonderful food available to you.
