One of our new members, John M., will be lifting a heavy arse atlas stone in an upcoming Strongman competition so I thought I would put up a picture of this dude doing the same lift. The Atlas stone is also known as the McGlashan stone and is an ancient test of strength. What the bunk is an atlas stone? A large perfectly round concrete stone used for strongman competitions, often weighing between 200-400 lbs.The Atlas Stone lifting is a common event in the WSM (world’s strongest man) competition. It is done by lifting the stone from the ground onto a platform. It requires great skill to lift. Lift that stone, John!
