1.25 lb 90%+ ground turkey
1.25 lb 73% lean ground beef
1 lb uncured bacon
1.5 cups of tomato sauce
1 cup of tomato paste
1 diced red onion
2 diced white or yellow onions
2 sweet potatoes
3 whole cloves of garlic – diced
1/2 lb mushrooms – sliced
1/2 lb chili peppers (sweet, jalapeño, serrano, or whatever peppers you would like depending on how spicy you would like your chili)
3 bell peppers (change up the colors if you would like)
Cumin, thyme, thai basil, cinnamon, salt, black pepper

start by boiling the sweet potatoes until soft and removing the skin, and then blend/puree the potatoes
brown the ground beef and turkey with the garlic added, then add to pot
chop bacon into smaller strips and sautee with onions until golden brown and add to pot
chop and cut all peppers and mushrooms
over medium high heat, add tomato paste and blended potatoes to pot and stir until well mixed
begin adding peppers and mushrooms
add tomato paste
continue stirring until the chili comes to a slow boil
turn down to low heat and allow to simmer and stir every 10-15 minutes
after 1 hour, add seasoning to taste. if you would like a sweeter chili, you can add raw honey
allow to simmer for an additional 4-8 hours on low heat while occasionally stirring.
