Top 5 reasons why Fermented Cod Liver Oil from Green Pastures might be good for you… here are just a few in addition to this amazing superfood keeping you healthy through the flu/cold season.
◦Green Pastures does NOT heat their fermented cod liver oil.  This protects the delicate omegas found in this oil.  They instead cold process and ferment which helps preserve and protect the omega 3 fatty acids as well as vitamin A & D).  Heating processing will damage them.  I typically only suggest Green Pastures because they are very clear about the process they use to make their fermented cod liver oil.  Other omega 3 fish oils or cod liver oils don’t really state or do mention heat processing and knowing how delicate omegas are to heat I steer clear of them and go for what I personally know works.
•Vitamin rich cod liver oil has been shown to support the health of pregnant women by improving the fatty acid profile of their breast milk and in turn optimizes brain health in the infant.
•Fermented Cod Liver Oil helps promote absorption of calcium and magnesium and in turn this helps normalize blood pressure.
•Taken orally or topically fermented cod liver oil has been shown to help improve skin quality – diaper rashes, eczema, psoriasis, reduce wrinkles among many other benefits.
•Vitamin A in fermented cod liver oil has been shown to be protective against cancer.
