So who gave up grains for a few meals?  Did you find some new substitutes that you liked?  Talk to me, people.  This week’s is to make your own electrolyte drink.  There are a ton of recipes on the web.  Some are complicated and they are unnecessary.  You need citrus, honey or maple syrup, salt, salt substitute that is potassium based, baking soda.  Look around for the right balance of the ingredients for the amount you are looking to make.  I was highly distracted by a small human and put in too much baking soda and YUCK!  So make sure you are doing it exactly.  Once I fixed it, it was great.  It definitely isn’t going to taste like a sugary sports drink with fancy food coloring, but it is natural and effective.
