The CrossFit Games Open is a six-week competition that will begin Tuesday, March 15th at 17:00 PDT. This competition is the first step in qualifying for the 2011 CrossFit Games. Each week, one event will be announced posted each Tuesday, and everyone has until the following Sunday at 17:00 PDT to complete the event and record their scores.

There are two ways to compete:

1. Compete at a Registered Affiliate: Attend a workout session at a registered affiliate and submit your score for the affiliate to validate.

2. Compete Anywhere: Perform the workout as prescribed anywhere you can or want, and videotape it. Submit your score and upload your video.
So here’s the deal. I want you people to participate! I don’t care if you don’t think you have a snowball’s chance in hell.  You have some teammates who do have a chance and they need you there with them, challenging them to get the best time possible.  Nothing pushes people harder than competition and the accountability of people watching/cheering.  Not only would this help them, having a goal yourself is monumental in elevating your fitness level.  If you are interested, please come see me (Ruth) to discuss what you need to do to get ready for March.  This will be a commitment on your part.   As a thank you for helping the team and representing CFSL, you basically get a lot of special attention and coaching.

Give it some thought.  This event is about the experience and developing comraderie with our fellow CrossFitters.

Tuesday’s WOD:

“Nicole”

As Many Rounds/Reps As Possible in 20 mins.

400m Run

no coming off the bar or putting your foot down during pull ups.  your score is your total number of pull ups.
