 Paleo Shepherd’s Pie
This is an oldie but goodie!
1 head of cauliflower
1 teaspoon of minced garlic
1 bunch or bag of kale
1 lb of ground beef
4 medium tomatoes, diced
1 Tablespoon of cumin
A shaking of red pepper chili flakes
Salt and pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Chop up the cauliflower and steam it until it’s quite soft.  Add garlic, salt and pepper and mash it up with a potato masher or a fork.  Set aside.
Chop up kale into bite size pieces and steam or boil in water until desired tenderness.  Set aside.
Brown the beef in a skillet over medium high heat.  Mix in cumin, red pepper chili flakes, salt, pepper and any other spices of your liking.  Add in the diced tomatoes.
Spread the meat mixture on the bottom of a 9 1/2 x 11 pan.  Layer with kale.  Top with mashed cauliflower.
Cook for 35-40 minutes, until slightly brown on top.
Enjoy your pie!
Friday’s WOD:
Strength:  Pull Up Ladder, kipping allowed if you are off band.  Ladder is: one pull up the first minute, 2 pull ups the next minute, 3 the next, and so on until you are unable to do the number of pull ups scheduled for that minute.

50 Double Unders
21 Kettlbell Swings  (53,35lbs.  Scale up as you like)
