photo (2) (726x1024)This very handsome man is my grandfather.  He passed away on Jan. 14, 2014 at the age of 92.  I am sure you have noticed the flag hanging in the gym for a month or so now.  It’s time I share with you who the flag is in honor of; Commander Daniel G. Pardue, Sr., USN, Ret.   If you are interested, you can read a little more about him here.   I am honored that I am able to display the flag given to our family on the day of his military service. He was so much more to us than a Naval officer and exemplary pilot.  He was one of a kind.  This flag reflects a piece of who he was and it represents a lot to me.  I hope you all will appreciate it’s presence in the gym.

Your grandfather was a very accomplished man. His obituary only confirms the saying, “they don’t make them like they used to.” I can see why you’re very proud of him.
