I love going through my old training books for several reasons. I like to see how I’ve progressed, compare old performances, AND to mock myself for silliness. This photo is one that really makes me laugh. Be warned the language is rough. At the top I am all excited and full of hope. Then things go terribly awry. Also, notice that there is a number one and a number two next to the workouts. This means I came back later in the day to try the workout again. I don’t train the lifts twice a day, so this means I really thought with that attitude I was going to come back and make max lifts. Yea, right! I would have been better off going to the pool and drinking a piña colada. Thankfully, I’ve learned when to hold em, fold em, and walk away.
