Let’s talk mobility people. The last two weeks we have done overhead squats and I have cringed watching some people do them. It looks painful! Want to get better on overhead squats or anything for that matter? Work on your flexibility. I am not going to go into any detail here about which ones to do. There are common problems with most people, but some of you have restrictions in certain joins because of old injuries, etc. Come to me or any of the coaches and ask them which stretches your body needs. Once they tell you, do them every single day a few times a day. It takes all of 3 mins to perform a routine for improving your mobility. This will make an enormous difference in your ability to perform the more demanding movements and even the most basic like an air squat. Not to mention it will keep you healthier. If you can’t move in a natural pattern eventually whatever is compensating for your lack of range will get tired and start to irritate you.
