This one has been a long time coming! Michael T. is our CrossFitter on Fire. Michael has been with us for close to a year now and I always find myself in awe. We all know he consistently posts very fast times on the WODs, but what you may not know about Michael is his commitment to mastering movements and recovery. The first time Michael tried to do an overhead squat, well let’s just say it looked a little restricted. After that workout he practiced his overhead squat after nearly every workout and asked for help whenever possible. He did this for weeks, maybe even months. He worked and worked until he had them in the bag. He approaches all the movements this way. I have never seen someone do so many manmakers! When I think of skipping my recovery work, I think of Michael. He spends at least 10 minutes after his workouts (when he doesn’t have to run to work) to go through a series of stretches that he has learned help his specific areas that need a little extra attention. This kind of dedication to himself and his long-term health is what I hope for all of us. Keep it up, Michael.
