For you to practice during tomorrow’s workout.   Breathing properly can make a huge difference on how much and well you move weight, as well as keep you healthy.  Excessive breath holding during heavy lifts can drive you blood pressure up dangerously, cause you to black out, etc.  If you have high blood pressure already, breathe evenly during weightlifting to avoid spikes, but do not worry yourself sick.  Exercising has benefits that far outweigh the negatives for people with BP challenges.

Thursday’s WOD:

Strength:

Sumo Deadlift 3×5@80%, compare to 3/20/14 and do a little more.

Conditioning:

EMOM x 10 min

Even Mins: Do 3 Power Cleans

Odd Mins: Do 3 or 5 Front Squats

*Use ~75% of best clean for both exercises.  If you do not know your best clean, just a weight that is challenging but doable for all the sets.   3 front squats: this is for people who will have a heavy power clean.  5 front squats: this is for people who will have a lighter power clean relative to their strength due to technique deficits.  Have fun!
